The list of unhanged scoundrels that call Wall Street home (and use _your_ money to finance their exorbitant lifestyle) is huge, this guy is just one. I found this quote quite to the point:
The point is, many of these guys owe their outrageous lifestyles to people who actually work for a living, who’ve been putting nickels and dimes away week after week for years, just so guys like Loeb can swoop in, make a pitch after a fancy lunch or two, and then take big chunks of that cash to buy private jets and Picassos. For them to suddenly become self-righteous and political, to tell the world that it can’t afford real pensions and retirement funds for regular people anymore, is a rich irony.
I have talked about the lack of value of fund managers before so won’t belabor that point. Instead I will just reinforce my comment that this is what an oligarchy is all about: rich people who got rich despite not adding any value, using their money to pervert our laws and government to solidify their increasing power and then stepping on the little people (us) who do all the work that keep these blowhards flush with cash.
