If I am going to &#8216;lease&#8217; something I expect to pay _a lot_ less than if I purchase it and have permanent irrevocable ownership, yet the price for leasing is pretty much on par with that of owning.  I am not even particularly interested in trying to reverse engineer the content, I will simply not purchase the lease and vote with my pocketbook.
